Effect of Activated Lime and Kaolin as Partial Replacement for Cement in Concrete Structure

This research presents the effect of activated lime and kaolin as a cement replacement on properties concrete. A natural clay sample known was through thermal activation used to partially replaced cement. %-¾ size aggregate in casting concrete cubes using 150mm x for grades 20 25, mould mix ratio 1:2:4 grade 1:1 ½: 3 25. The water-cement adopted experiment 0.55. preliminary laboratory investigation conducted include; sieve analysis, bulk density, specific gravity, impact value (AIV), crushing (ACV), flakiness test, elongation test. Also setting time standard consistency test carried out. Different cast cured 7, 14, 28 days, crushed. compressive strength gotten conclusion drawn.
